Foreign Credits

From January through May 1997, there were 5 foreign credit lines opened in Turkmenistan all worth US$147.0 million. They include:
  1. The contract for the purchase of agricultureal equipment from John Deere (Association Turkmenbakhizmat) - $99.9 million - by credit abreement with the EXIM Bank of the US and the Societe General Bank.
  2. The contract for the installation of the factory equipment for the soap manufacturing in the town of Charjou (Association of the Food Industry) - $7.2 million - from the agreement with the Bank of New York.
  3. The Contract for the purchase of personal equipment (Department of Internal Affairs) - $4.0 million by the credit agreement with the KFV Bank.
  4. The Contract for modernizing the dairy -processing lines in the Dairy factory of Ashgabat Syit (Association of the Food Industry) - $13.4 million - by the credit agreement with the AKA Bank.
  5. The Constract for the delivery and assembly of the equipment for the Youzhiy Gamishlj deposit (GK Turkmenneft, GTK Turkmenneftegas) - $22.6 million - by the credit agreement with the KFV Bank.
